
META YOUTH project arises from the rapid growth of the metaverse and metaverse gaming, which are transforming entertainment, communication, education, and employment opportunities. While young people are often considered digitally competent, studies show that the majority (80%) only possess basic digital skills, particularly in areas such as security, privacy, and critical evaluation of online information .Consequently, there is a pressing need to equip young people and youth workers with the knowledge and skills to navigate this evolving environment responsibly and effectively.
META YOUTH’s main goal is to empower young people by enhancing their digital readiness and critical understanding of the metaverse and metaverse gaming, while also strengthening the competences of youth educators through innovative tools, strategies, and training resources.
