The DOTOX project emerged from the urgent need to support one of the most vulnerable youth groups in Europe — young ex-prisoners — by equipping them with the digital skills necessary for their social and professional reintegration. In today’s digital era, access to technology and digital literacy are key factors for employability, education, and participation in society.
DOTOX’s main goal is to empower youth ex-prisoners with digital competences that foster independence, inclusion, and job readiness, while also strengthening the capacity of youth workers who support them.
More specifically, the project aims to:
Provide practical and market-relevant digital training tailored to youth ex-prisoners.
Enhance their confidence, social participation, and wellbeing through digital learning.
Improve employability by linking digital skills with career opportunities.
Support youth workers through innovative educational tools and methodologies for inclusion.
Expected results include increased digital literacy, stronger employability prospects, and improved social participation among ex-prisoners, alongside enhanced professional development for youth workers.
DOTOX includes 7 partners, SDRUZHENIE REACT, XENIOS POLIS, Social Enterprises, Vazpitatlno Uchilishte Internat, “Angel Uzunov”, ALEXANDER COLLEGE, HELLO YOUTH, Adalet Bakanligi Ankara Denetimli Serbestlik Müdürlügü, from 6 countries, Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, Cyprus, Sweden, Turkey, working together to promote inclusion, digital transformation, and innovative youth work across Europe.
