YOUTH-LENS is a project that addresses contemporary challenges such as misinformation, digital exclusion, and young people’s declining trust in democratic institutions through innovative actions and international cooperation. The project focuses on strengthening media literacy, fostering critical thinking and digital skills, and promoting active civic participation, particularly in regions facing significant social and digital inequalities.
YOUTH-LENS was designed as a holistic intervention combining non-formal education, digital innovation, and cross-border collaboration in order to tackle key challenges faced by young people aged 16–30 across several Western Balkan communities. More specifically, these challenges include limited access to quality digital education, high levels of misinformation, exclusion from digital and civic processes, and the lack of structured opportunities for skills development. Through targeted educational modules, interactive workshops, and transnational exchanges, the project seeks to reduce the barriers that undermine critical thinking and active youth participation.
The main objective of YOUTH-LENS is to strengthen both the digital and social competences required for young people to actively participate in the digital knowledge society.
