The OASIS project-Opportunities for Awareness towards Sustainable and mIndful Digital ConSumption– (Project number: 2024-2-CY01-KA220-YOU-000286222) addresses the growing need for digital well-being by promoting mindful digital consumption among young people. While digital technologies are essential in modern life, excessive screen time and digital overuse can negatively impact mental health and social interactions. OASIS equips youth and educators with practical strategies to foster a healthier, more intentional relationship with technology.
Main goals:
a) Develop a training pack co-created by experts, youth workers and young participants to provide practical tools for digital well-being.
b) Educate young people on the effects of excessive screen time.
c) Organize a weekend retreat providing a screen-free environment for physical, emotional and mental well-being.
d) Empower youth ambassadors to advocate for healthier digital consumption in their communities.
e) Strengthen the link between research, practice and policy, contributing to the advancement in young people’s digital over-consumption.
By integrating education, experiential learning and policy engagement, OASIS paves the way for a more balanced digital future.
