The project DOTOX depends on two of the following necessities-factors, the elderly population and the digital society. On the one, elderly citizens constitute a significant part of the local community and the European society: as the official numbers prove, European countries have the oldest population in the world. On the other side, digital technology affects every aspect of daily life and is leading EU societies’ members to an ever-increasing need for the right digital skills.
The project DOTOX is implemented by 7 partners (APREDIN, PANTEION UNIVERSITY, CYPRUS COMPUTER SOCIETY, XENIOS POLIS, GRIPEN, CENTER FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION, GROWTH COOP) coming from 5 countries (Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, Romania, Spain).DOTOX focus on the cultivation of the relevant knowledge and skills of the elderly, helping them to be aware of the digital context and advancements as well as the benefits offered for them and at the same time contributing through digital thinking enhancement and digital skills training to their better inclusion and participation.
