CRICKET - CRitical praCtice Key competences programme in cvET for workers in the elderly care - XENIOS POLIS

The project CRICKET rises from the phenomenon that Europe is ageing rapidly. The number of older people in Europe is increasing and the demand for care and support is changing. Over Europe there is a need to educate professionals in health and social care with the right competencies to work with older people. Projections foresee a growing number of elderly persons (aged 65 and over), with a particularly rapid increase in the number of very old persons (aged 85 and over).

Project objectives are :

1. to upskill the key-competences of professionals in the elderly care with specific communicative, emotional, social, personal skills and through the process of labor needs matching and capacity building
2. to maximize potential in their employment through the recognition of skills and qualifications due to EQF, ECVET context & ECTS units
3. to construct well-stepped units of educational materials, work-based scenarios, guides for the VET educator

CRICKET includes 7 partners (Europejska Fundacja na Rzecz Wspierania Rozwoju Innowacyjnego, CSI CENTER FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION, Innovation Training Center S.L. , Nuovi Orizzonti Sociali, DIE BERATER UNTERNEHMENS BERATUNGS GESELLSCHAFT MBH, Xenios Polis. Culture, Science and Action, LJUDSKA UNIVERZA PTUJ) from 7 different countries (Poland, Cyprus, Spain, Italy, Austria, Greece, Slovenia).
