Poor air quality, high levels of greenhouse gas emissions and ambient noise, neglect of the built environment and low biodiversity are undoubtedly associated with the quality of people’s lives. 80% of European citizens live in cities. AGROS project can contribute to addressing these challenges through proper training on the adoption of green roof practices.

AGROS is implemented by 7 partners, (Municipality of La Palma del Condado-ALPDC, KAUNAS STP, XENIOS POLIS, LPS/LALRG, CENTER FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION, EURELATIONS, DA&DA) and refers to 7 participating countries (Cyprus, Greece, France, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain).

Green roof synergies are characterized by a series of advantages. Consequently, the use of such technologies will upgrade life quality (visually and practically) and will contribute to environmental protection. Citizens who participate in the program will develop skills and attributes such as cultural awareness, social responsibility, empathy for environmental protection, and creative thinking as well.
