September 14, 2018: European project “proADAS”
We are pleased to announce that “Xenios Polis” has been approved to be funded under the Erasmus+, KA2 for the European project “proADAS” (promotion of Active Digital Ageing Skills). This project, which will be carried out with the cooperation of 5 other countries (Cyprus, France, Belgium, Italy & Croatia) and will last 2 years, is about supporting and educating adults in acquiring and cultivating relative digital skills for their personal development and their participation in modern social situations.
March 29 & 30, 2018: MEDITERRANEAN MIGRATION NETWORK
Xenios Polis, as representative of the Mediterranean Immigration Network in Greece, undertook the organization of two-day works in Athens on 29-30 March 2018.
October 6, 2017: Education and new Media. Opportunities and limitations for the child and the citizen.
Xenios Polis, Unicef and Advanced Media Institute organized the conference “Education and new Media. Opportunities and limitations for the child and the citizen”. The Workshop was took place on Friday October 6 2017, at the Conference Room of the General Secretariat for Information and Communication (Frangoudi 11 & Alexandrou Pantou Kallithea).
September 28, 2017: Launch party
Xenios Polis was attended to the Launch party for the project “Desmos for Youth” on Thursday, September 28 organized by Desmos. The event was attended by Thom Feeney and collaborators of Desmos, thanks to their support makes the program successful.
September 14, 2017: MEDITERRANEAN MIGRATION NETWORK
On Thursday, September 14, 2017, the International CARDET Research Center, in cooperation with INNOVADE, organized at the University of Nicosia, the annual international conference of the Mediterranean Migration Network (MNC), where organizations from all over Europe participated.
September 7, 2017: Unicef- School bazaar
XENIOS POLIS supports the work of UNICEF Greece. From Monday, September 4th until Friday 8th September, UNICEF’s school bazaar opens at the Metro of Syntagma.
Come and take your school supplies for the new year.
Opening hours: From 9am to 9pm.
The entrance is free.
July 19, 2017: ” Desmos for Youth” program
We are pleased to announce that Xenios Polis was selected for the “Desmos for Youth” program.
The program finances a full-time job to create a completed EducationProgram for Adults Refugees and Immigrants.Thanks to donations of The Hellenic Initiative, Visa Hellas and the Desmos’ crowd funding campaign Greece Works a sponsorship was given to Xenios Polis.
June 21, 2017: Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany
Xenios Polis, at the invitation of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Athens, attended the inauguration of the “Mosaico House”, a hostel for refugee women and their children. The hostel is funded by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Xenios Polis participated in the informative event on the Mediterranean Sea Basin Program ENPI CBCMED, which took place at the Golden Age Hotel.
April 27-28, 2017: MEDITERRANEAN MIGRATION NETWORK
Χenios Polis, as an official guest of the Network, with Dr. Dimitra Sitareniou as the Representative, participated in the Kick-off Meeting for the Mediterranean Migration Network (MMN) organized by the International Research Center CARDET and the INNOVADE, in Nicosia, at the Nicosia University.
Xenios Polis, the Representation of the European Commission to Greece and Cardet organized the interactive workshop “Migration and Refugees: e-teaching scenarios with the use of digital games“.The seminar was attended by 33 members of the educational community (primary and secondary education).

Xenios Polis and the Representation of the European Commission to Greece
organized the International Scientific Conference Vulnerable Social Groups: Sυnergies And Perspectives, with the support of ELEPAP, the National Centre of Social Research, the Ark of the World, UNICEF, the Family and Child Care Center, CARDET, ALDA, TESLA Network, under the Auspices of Municipality of Athens.
1-8 Ιουνίου 2016: TRAINING FOR A EUROPE OF EMPLOYMENT AND INTEGRATION
Xenios Polis participated through its four representatives in the Erasmus + European Program, held in Spain, in the action “Training for a Europe of Employment and Integration”, aiming at training trainers and also improving their training through informal learning.
November 21 2016: UNICEF AWARDS
On the occasion of World Children’s Rights Day (November 21st), UNICEF Greece celebrated its 70th anniversary and awarded the “UNICEF 2016 Awards” to prominent personalities and organizations in the country that promote the rights of the child, as well as to schools that have stood out in a relevant educational program about children’s rights (in cooperation with the Ministry of Education). Representatives of Xenios Polis attended the event and awarded the 3rd Prize at the Zanneio School of Heraklion, Crete, Class B1.
October 31 – November 5, 2016: EUROMED 2016
Xenios Polis participated in the Euromed 2016 through the representative of Dr. B. Bokolas with two proposals. The first proposal, titled “The culture of epigraphy: from historical break through to digital success”, was held in cooperation with representatives from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the second was organized in collaboration with representatives from the Cyprus University of Technology, entitled “Educational Creative Use and Reuse of Digital Cultural Heritage Data for Cypriot UNESCO Monuments “. This international conference concerned the preservation, documentation and protection of cultural heritage.
